Many activities, such as heavy lifting, exercise, or sexual intercourse, are restricted to avoid putting pressure on incision sites.

Weeks 2-4

Swelling, bruising, and discomfort continue to subside. Patients can usually return to non-strenuous work after 2 weeks. Most regular activities are typically allowed after one month of recovery. In 4-6 weeks, patients can resume light exercise.

Weeks 6+

Residual swelling and other mild symptoms resolve during the later stages of recovery. After the 6-week mark, sexual activity can generally be resumed. Final cosmetic results of labia reduction are usually visible within 3-4 months.
